Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This thesis is a graduation project in construction engineering and design focusing on efficient general costs (APO) in construction projects. The study explores methods and processes to optimize APO and contribute to sustainable and efficient management within the construction industry. Workplace-related costs are also commonly referred to as general costs and joint costs. The study summarizes the indirect costs of the construction project, whether they are economic, ecological, or social costs. The study addresses important aspects such as production calculation, time planning, and 5D calculation, as well as industry standards as for example, Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), AFS:2023, and AMA AF 21. It also includes a current state description of the construction process and interviews with industry experts.A theoretical reference framework is presented which discusses quality, environment, and occupational health and safety in construction projects. The study concludes with a discussion and conclusions about future studies and development within the construction sector.
