A GIS Model for Superblock Establishment in Stockholm : A study into how locations can be discovered through policy mobility (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

The Superblock is a relative new planning concept originating from Barcelona. It aims at tackling both the environmental and social issues, caused by traffic and car-centric planning but have not seen widespread adaption outside Barcelona. Policy mobility redefines how policies are transferred between different locations by adapting the policy to local conditions. Through utilization of policy mobility, the study aims at creating a model with the help of thematic literature analysis and Geographical Information System (GIS) software. The study concludes that while the Superblock concept align well to the desired development in Stockholms stad traffic planning documents, limitations on data and technical issues hindered the creation of a proper GIS model.
