This paper discusses human-robot interaction through life cycle of the Inexorable, a mobile sculpture, as described by the artist in charge of the project. By investigating aspects of this particular process we hope to identify interesting intersection points for further investigations in HRI and the arts. In particular, we would like put emphasis on how the artist in this case reflects on aspects of companionship, the crafts of making, and the various contexts of exhibition.
