This project revolves around a playground and meeting space which has received massive critique since its transformation in 2007. The old playground had been a popular spot in the municipality for decades and, now mainly directed towards toddlers, the vibe of the space has changed. Being the densest municipality in northern Europe and lacking playgrounds for children above 3 years, parents with elder children are now forced to travel to other parts of the city to find sufficiently stimulating playgrounds. This project aims to recreate the spirit of the old playground with contemporary knowledge about children and play. The main goal of the project is to create a playing environment which is directed towards children of different ages and even encourages them to play with one another.
