Abstract [en]
This project delves into the connection between our memories of a place and the specific scents associated with it. In Juhani Pallasmaa's essay "Space, Place, Memory and Imagination: The Temporal Dimension of Existential Space," he reflects on his childhood home, a modest farmhouse built by his grandfather. Pallasmaa portrays a fragmented impression of the space, bound together by olfactory memories rather than visual ones.
In my exploration, presented here, I seek to capture my memories of spaces through their unique smells. I have chosen my childhood apartment as the site for these explorations, aiming to create a series of drawings and scents, each encapsulated in distinct vessels. These vessels serve as individual studies, delving into new forms of spatial representation and abstraction.
