Projektet Betong i Nytt Ljus är ett förslag på en hybridbyggnad mellan ett ”hus för folket” och en testanläggning för produktion av hållbar betong. Produktionen innebär att restprodukter från jordbruket, exempelvis havreskal, förbränns till aska som sedan fungerar som bindemedel i betong och ersätter därmed cement vilket resulterar i ett nära halverat klimatavtryck. Platsen för projektet är Nynäshamn som är en växande kommun med kopplingar till både jordbruk och industri. Byggnaden är uppdelad i en förbränningshall, en hall för småskalig betongproduktion samt en mer offentlig del som bland annat inrymmer offentliga kontor och mötesrum, restaurang och auditorium. Hybridprogrammet genererade även en sammanlänkande byggnadskropp som innehåller offentliga laboratorium där allmänheten kan skapa med hållbar betong. De offentliga lokalerna ligger i direkt anslutning till produktionen utan att störa produktionsflödet. Förhoppningen är att man som besökare får insyn i verksamheten och därigenom känner sig delaktig och i förlängningen blir mer engagerad i hållbarhetsarbetet. Målet med gestaltningen är att utforska betongens förutsättningar i skapandet av rumsligheter och fasaduttryck, samt att ta vara på olika sätt som ljuset spelar mot materialet.  Projektet syftar vidare till att undersöka hur arkitektoniska metoder för att skapa inre logik och struktur kan användas för att hantera ett komplext hybridprogram. 

Concrete in a New Light is a proposal for a hybrid building between a "house for the people" and a test facility for the production of sustainable concrete. The production intails burning of residual products from agriculture to ash which acts as a binder in concrete and thus replaces cement, resulting in a nearly halved climate footprint. The location for the project is Nynäshamn, a growing municipality with connections to both agriculture and industry. The building is divided into a combustion hall, a hall for small-scale concrete production and a more public part which houses co-working spaces, a restaurant, auditoriums etcetera. An interlinking building body contains semi-public concrete laboratories. The public facilities are directly connected to the production without disturbing the production flow. The aim is for the visitor to gain insight into the business and thereby feel involved in the sustainability work. The goal of the design is to explore the conditions of concrete in the creation of spatiality and facade expression, as well as the different ways that light plays on the material. The project further aims to investigate how architectural methods for creating internal logic and structure can be used to manage a complex hybrid program.
