Abstract [en]

An exploration of the moments in architecture that leaves you either wanting to linger in a place or longing to explore more beyond what you can see.  The project began with paintings by artists such as Pieter de Hooch, Vilhelm Hammershøi and Ida Lorentzen; the fragments, light, sequences and atmospheres depicted in their images leave you wanting to know and see more of the worlds they have created. With the paintings in mind a visit to the town of Lund in southern Sweden was conducted to see if similar moments could be discovered there. By taking the fragmented moments found in Lund and uniting them into a coherent series of public rooms, the hope was to complete a piece of the puzzle that makes up the town of Lund.  The rooms would house the art collection owned by the University of Lund, providing space for an archive and exhibition rooms.
