Abstract [sv]

Processen började med en enkätundersökning som besvarades av en femteklass. Tillsammans med eget utforskande av idéer om lärande, bildades Spångvida skola. Prioritering i kandidatprojektet har varit att skapa trygghet.

Enkäten innehöll frågor om intressen, favoritplatser och studiemiljö. Majoriteten femteklassare hade som intresse att vara rörliga på fritiden. Vid beskrivning av sin favoritplats var stora, ljusa samt rum som befann sig både inne och utomhus trivsamt för många. En stor del av eleverna kände att de kunde vara sig själva på skolgården, i slöjden, musiksalen eller idrottshallen medan vissa kände otrygghet i klassrummet. Orsaken var att de behövde göra saker som dem är bra på för att känna trygghet. De flesta ville bli bättre på de teoretiska ämnena i skolan. När de själva skulle fantisera om ett studierum resulterade det i samma rumsliga egenskaper som hos deras favoritplats. Material att föredra var trä, glas och tyg. Färger som prioriterades var koboltblå och ljusgrön.

I rumssambanden tillför skolan en variation av studieplatser för teoretiska likväl praktiska ämnen. Trygghet skapas fortsättningsvis i planlösningen genom att en elev ska känna sig fri i att välja och förflytta sig mellan olika rumstyper. Rumstyperna är uppdelade efter olika grader av privat och offentlighet. För att tryggt kunna förflytta sig mellan de olika rumstyperna har fokus i gestaltning varit på materialövergångarna till dessa.

Abstract [en]

The process began with a questionnaire survey answered by a fifth grade. Together with own exploration of ideas about learning, Spångvida school was formed. Priority in the candidate project has been to create sense of safety.

The survey contained questions about interests, favorite places and study environment. The majority of fifth year students had an interest in being active. When they described their favorite place, it was said to be large, bright and be indoors or outdoors. A large number of students felt that they could be themselves in the schoolyard, in the sled, the music hall or the gym class while some felt insecure in the classroom. The reason was that they needed to do things that they were good at to feel safe. Most pupils would like to be better at the theoretical subjects in school. When they fantasized about an own study room, it resulted in the same spatial characteristics as their favorite place. Materials to be preferred were wood, glass and fabric. Priority colors were cobalt blue and light green.

The room relations provide a variety of study places for theoretical yet practical subjects. Security is henceforward being created in the site plan by giving the student freedom to choose and move between different types of rooms. The room types are divided into different degrees of private and public space. In order to safely move between the different types of space, the focus on the design has been on the material transitions to these.
