Abstract [sv]

Studenter på högskolenivå kan ibland uppfatta det som svårt att hitta andra studenter att studera med. För att tillgodose detta behov skapades startupprojektet Radspire. Målet med Radspire var att utveckla en webb-tjänst som kunde hjälpa studenter att hitta andra studenter med matchande tid, plats och studiebehov.Tjänsten utvecklades av två grupper, en grupp fokuserade på design och front-end och en grupp fokuserade på databasen och back-end. Den här rapporten kommer att redogöra för processen som back-end gruppen gick igenom vid utvecklingen av tjänsten. Tjänsten utvecklades i PHP tillsammans med ramverket CakePHP och databasen som användes var MySQL.Vid slutdatum för detta kandidat-examenarbete var delar av tjänsten färdig och datum för beta-testning var bestämt.

Students at universities sometimes find it hard to find like minded student to study with. In order to see to this need the startup-project Radspire was created. The goal with Radspire was to develop a web-service that would help students find other student depending on the persons time, place and study-need.The service was developed by two groups, one group focusing on the frontend development and the other on the database and back-end development. This report will cover the process the back-end team went through during the development. The service were developed i PHP together with the framework CakePHP, and MySQL were used as database.At the end of this bachelor-degree project, parts of the service were done and the date for beta-testing were decided
