Description [en]

The original concept of the Folkform Production Novella was launched during an exhibition at the Milan Furniture fair 2017 but has also been developed as narrative research method in artistic research developed by Holmquist (2014).

Abstract [en]

Through the manufacturing of Production Novellas, Folkform aim to communicate knowledge of the design production process behind objects, focusing on past industrial processes and craft techniques. The production novellas are an ongoing investigation of manufacturing traditions and old industrial processes in local contexts and craft techniques that are threatened to disappear.  The Production Novellas include momories, situations, fragments and scenes from the production process as described by the designer, through both visual and textual material.
