Abstract [en]

This study presents a detailed validation of the dynamic model built for the aircraft Dornier 328 using MSC Nastran.The dynamic model is developed for aeroelastic purposes and is divided in the three essential components for any dynamic design: stiffness model, mass model and aerodynamic model. Former data computed by Dornier is used for validation against Nastran results coming from the dierent analyses made. Modal analysis results show a satisfactory validation of the structural model. The aerodynamic model, on the other hand, is also proved to work correctly. However, the utter computations do not exhibit an acceptable degree of matching and numerical problems are evident in the results.
