Abstract [en]

The aim of this project is to design and build a demonstration apparatus consisting of alevitating globe that demonstrates how the use of the magnetic force and the principleof a feedback loop can create a semi-stable state. The fundamental components of thesystem is a metallic shell, coil, light emitting diode(LED) and photodiode. The main partof the report is focusing on the design of the coil and the electric circuit that controlsthe current through the coil.

Syftet med detta projekt är att designa och bygga en demonstrationsutställning bestående av en svävande jordglob som demonstrerar hur den magnetiska kraften och en enkel återkopplingsmekanism kan verka för att skapa ett semistabilt tillstånd. De primära kom- ponenterna i systemet är ett metalliskt skal, spole, LED, och fotodiod. Huvuddelen av rapporten fokuserar på designen av spolen och den elektriska kretsen som styr strömmen genom spolen.
