Abstract [en]

This thesis paper is made on behalf of the Employment Service (Arbetsförmedlingens) Innovation Center, where it examines how to automate costumer contact at various agencies.

An already existing social robot called Furhat, which is developed by Furhat Robotics, is integrated with a database containing personal user data where the goal is to relieve some of the stressful work duties done by the case handlers that work in these agencies.

This thesis work is started off by conducting a litteratur research to gain furhter knowledge of this area and obtain a requirement specification for the prototype. Thereafter, the work is continued in iterations where the prototypes different aspects are developed and tested.

The result of this work was a prototype that could conduct the required goals that was set out in this thesis. The prototype could, with the use of speech, answer limited amount of questions asked by a user concerning their unemployment. If the user wants answers to questions regarding their personal information, the user has to identify themselves using an id.

The work done in this thesis is far from being finished due to it not covering areas such as machine learning and user identification. However, the work done here can be seen as a building block where we see the potential, opportunities and the need for such a system.

Denna rapport är gjord på uppdrag av Arbetsförmedlingens Innovationscenter där det undersöks hur man kan automatisera kundkontakt på olika verksamheter.

En redan existerande social robot kallad Furhat, utvecklad av Furhat Robotics, skall integreras med en personuppgiftsdatabas där målet är att avlasta handläggare på Arbetsförmedlingens lokala kontor. På så sätt kan en arbetssökande få svar på de mest populära frågor.

Arbetet inleds men en litteraturstudie för att så en djupare förståelse av delområdet och ta fram en enkel kravspecifikation för prototypen. Sedan fortsätts arbetet i form av iterationer där prototypens olika delområden utvecklas och testas.

Resultatet var en prototyp som kunde utföra de arbetsuppgifterna som sattes upp som mål för detta arbete. Genom tal kan en användare ställa ett begränsat antal frågor om deras arbetslöshet till prototypen och få svar på dessa frågor. Om användaren vill ta del av personlig information behöver de identifiera sig med hjälp av ett id.

Detta arbete är långt ifrån färdigt då maskininlärning och ett säkert personidentifieringssystem inte täcks. Dock ses detta arbete som ett framtida byggblock där man ser potentialen, möjligheten och behovet för en sådana system.
