Abstract [en]

A new model too analyze BAE Systems 57mm MK3 marine artillery has been created, allowing for more complex loading with a more complete model than previously available in order to identify points that needs redesign. This thesis will create a finite element model to analyze how a gun carriage react to a shock load. The evaluation is seen as a first step with simplifications that will later be addressed in a more complete model. The prescribed loading of  XXX m s−2 should be seen as a ”near miss” of a mine which will accelerate the ship with the gun attached in a vertical direction. This loading creates stresses that are over the ultimate strength of the material at several points.

En ny modell fo ̈r att analysera BAE Systems 57mm MK3 marinpj ̈as har skapats, för att tillåta merkomplexa belastningar än tidigare med en mer detaljerad model än tidigare möjligt för att analysera punkter som behöver designas om. Det här projektet ska skapa en finit element modell för att analysera hur lavetten reagerar på en chocklast. Utvärderingarna som görs ska ses som ett första steg med förenklingar som senare ska adresseras med en mer komplett modell. Lasten som ska analyseras är XXX m s−2 som ska ses som en ”nära miss” av en undervattensmina som i sin tur kommer accelerera fartyget i vertikal riktning. Den här lasten leder till spänningar över materialets brottgräns på flera olika ställen.
