Abstract [en]

This article in Dagens Nyheter from 27 May 2019 discusses the different perceptions of nuclear energy production in Sweden, Germany, Russia and Finland in the context of this year's EU-parliament elections. We argue that all four countries have a very different answer to the question, whether nuclear energy could be used to halt greenhouse-gas-driven climate change. Due to its harmful effects on the environment and human societies, nuclear power is not a valid solution to global warming.
