Satellitstrukturanalys inom projektet DropSat på IUSTI (Swedish)
Abstract [en]

The project DropSat which is the first CubeSat project being developed at the University Institute of Industrial Thermal Systems (IUSTI), is a joint research unit affiliated to the National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS). This is an experiment in a small satellite that will be containing an experiment on fluid evaporation in space. The work carried out in this study consisted in developing a finite element model for the existing Computer-Aided Design (CAD) model of the DropSat satellite and by performing vibration analysis, trying to meet the requirements of launchers or other space standards. Then improve the CAD model to have a functional model and simulations adaptable for the end of Phase A project and according to the different requirements: meeting those requirements would verify if the whole structure could sustain the different stresses induced during the launch and be presented to the CNRS to allow the project to go to the next phase. The work that is still needed to be done to perfect this analysis is presented.
