Rock grouting in tunnel construction – models and design
2012 (English)In: ISRM International Symposium - EUROCK 2012, International Society for Rock Mechanics , 2012Conference paper, Published paper (Refereed)
Abstract [en]
In the paper a new conceptual model for describing the grouting process with cement based grout in fractured rock is presented. The model is based on the last decades research work in Sweden at the Royal Institute of Technology and Chalmers University of Technology, often in joint research programs. The conceptual model is built up by three parts. The first part is related to the water-bearing structures of rock masses. The second part is describing the penetrability and propagation of grout mix in fractures. The last part is related to the grout work and the possibility to govern and control the grouting process in real time. The main difference between the models with exciting procedure is new analytical solution of grout propagation in fractures and research results regarding penetrability of cement based grout.
