The community center in Folkesta intends to be a meeting place, mainly for those who live and work in the local area. The building is directly linked to the pedestrian and bicycle bridge that connects the residential area Hällby, the commercial and industrial site Folkesta as well as the recreational area and Volvo's industrial complex on the other side of the motorway. In addition to this, the nearby bus stop is at the back, which connects the surrounding areas and Eskilstuna, as well as the railway, which connects to the surrounding cities.The main concept of the building is its roof who acts as a ramp from the bridge to the cycle and pedestrian path that connects the industrial and commercial area in Folkesta. The building's centurm is resembling an atrium and contains the bicycle workshop. In addition to those who work in the building, the public can also take part in the atrium-like room by having the store's premises spill into the workshop.The meetings, conferences and study rooms in the house are rectangularly shaped to create rooms without the need for walls. These rooms have then been given different themes such as a the newspaper corner, do-it-yourself workshop, the history of the bicycle, the bicycles of the future and an interactive room. The smaller rooms and the association corridor also have plenty of storage for associations.

Folkets hus i Folkesta ämnar att vara en mötesplats, främst för de som bor och arbetar i närområdet. Byggnaden är direkt samanlänkad med gång- och cykelbron som binder samman bostadsområdet Hällby, handels- och industriplatesen Folkesta samt Volvos industriområde och friluftsområdet på andra sidan motorvägen. Utöver detta är den nära belägen en busshållplats på baksidan som knyter ihop närområdena och Eskilstuna samt järnvägen som knyter an till städerna runtomkring.Byggnadens huvudkoncept är dess tak som även aggerar som ramp ner från bron som i sin tur leder till cykel- och gångvägen som knyter ihop industri- och handelsområdet. Byggnadens centurm är kan liknas med ett atrium och innehåller cykel-verkstaden. För att förstärka kännslan av att det är kärnan går cykelvägen runt detta centrum iett och ett halvt varv. Utöver de som jobbar i byggnaden kan även allmänheten ta del av det atrium-liknande rummet genom att butikens lokal spiller in i verkstaden.De övriga mötes, konferens och arbetsrummen i huset är rektangulärt formade för att skapa rumsligheter utan att behöva väggar. Dessa rum har då fått olika teman så som en tidningshörna, gör-det-själv verkstad, cykelns historia, framtidens cyklar samt en interaktiv yta. De mindre rumen samt föreningskorridoren har även gott om förvaring för föreningar.
