Abstract [en]

At the edge of the city of Eskilstuna lies an industrial ruin of a flower grower that's still inhabited by various businesses. In the place where the massive greenhouses once stood, now an vast open space of gravel and junk, a new industry and public center is built that puts the visitor in the center of the process of textile recycling, both by showing an industrial process of cotton recycling, as well as engaging them in the repair and creative reuse of their own clothes. By doing this, the visitors acquire a stronger connection to their role in the waste cycle as well as to each other.
