The project is a proposal for a building north of the small town of Alberga, functioning both as a standard "Folkets hus" and as a center for craft and arts in the countryside. The focus of the project has been public life on the countryside and hybridizing the different parts of the program. The program consists of a series of workshops for the craft center, situated in a central concrete cylinder, a group of meeting rooms for the "Folkets hus", a small Hostel and a section for staff and administration situated in a wooden grid-structure surrounding the cylinder. The program and spatial structure of the building has resulted from an investigation and inversion of early medieval benedictine monasteries in western Europe as centers for learning and culture in the countryside, especially focusing the 9th century plan of st. Gallen.

Projektet är ett förslag till en byggnad norr om den lilla tätorten Alberga. Byggnaden fungerar dels som ett Folkets hus, dels som ett konst- och hantverkscenter på landsbygden. Fokus för projektet har varit offentligt liv på landsbygden och hybridiseringen av byggnadens olika delar. Programmet består av en serie av verkstäder till hantverkscentret, som är placerade i en cylinder av betong i mitten av byggnaden, en grupp mötesrum till folkets hus, ett litet vandrarhem och en del för personal och administration, pladerade i en trästruktur runt cylindern. Programmet har delvis tagits fram genom en studie och upp och nedvändning av tidiga medeltida benediktinerkloster i västeuropa, sedda som centrum för lärande och kultur på landsbygden. med särskilt fokus på sankt Gallenplanen ifrån 800-talet.
