Abstract [en]

The purpose of the thesis is to show that the stochastic Airy function converges in law to the stochastic zeta function. These two objects have been very recently introduced. Their introductions come from the same idea: their laws of zeros are very well-known and studied point processes in Random Matrix Theory. In the past few years, much work has been done to build a mathematical framework for these two stochastic functions. The way they are introduced shows a clear intuition: under a certain normalization depending on the size of the matrix space, these stochastic functions should converge one to another when the size of the matrix space goes to infinity. However, their mathematical frameworks are quite different. Consequently, the proof of such a convergence needs to adapt one of the framework to the other, in this case the framework of structure functions.

Syftet med avhandlingen är att visa att den stokastiska Airy-funktionen konvergerar i lag till den stokastiska zetafunktionen. Dessa två objekt har nyligen introducerats. Deras introduktioner kommer från samma idé: deras nolllagar är mycket välkända och studerade punktprocesser i Random Matrix Theory. Under de senaste åren har mycket arbete gjorts för att bygga ett matematiskt ramverk för dessa två stokastiska funktioner. Sättet de introduceras på visar en tydlig intuition: under en viss normalisering beroende på storleken på matrisutrymmet, bör dessa stokastiska funktioner konvergera till varandra när storleken på matrisutrymmet går till oändlighet. Deras matematiska ramar är dock helt olika. Följaktligen måste beviset på en sådan konvergens anpassa det ena av ramarna till det andra, i detta fall ramverket för strukturfunktioner.
