Abstract [en]

The focus of this report is the research and development of an Efficiency Monitoring System(EMS) for a Marine Electric Driveline (MED). The aim of the project has been to develop aworking EMS to be used in the FoilCart research project. During the development of MEDs, oursystem can give valuable, previously not obtainable, information to engineers while conductingfield tests. We have worked to a set of requirements concerning accuracy of measurements. Therequirements are set to cater to the specific needs of electric hydrofoils. From these requirementsmeasurement hardware has been researched, acquired and implemented into the EMS togetherwith open-source and tailor-made software. The overall objective of this project was achievedand an EMS for use in the FoilCart was delivered. Some hardware has not been delivered butcan be connected to the existing EMS. Due to the lack of needed hardware, voltagemeasurements have not been taken. This has not affected other parts of the EMS.
