The cost of the environmental impact - Is it beneficial to change an existing building to a passive house?? (English)
Abstract [sv]

Abstract [en]

This report studies and analyzes the possibility of making a building from the 60s and 70s -also known as the “million-program” - to a more energy efficient building that fills therequirements for a Passive House. Furthermore, it studies the cost-effectiveness of doing suchbig investments with renovations. Based on an apartment building built in the 60s in Malmö,Skåne, an energy-and cost analysis has been made. A comparison has then been madebetween how much energy and money had been saved and spent respectively, by havingadditional insulation, window replacements and ventilation change to a FTX-system.The result was that it was not economically favorable based on an economic lifespan of 20years, but that it would however have an positive impact on ecological sustainabilityconsidering the amount of energy that the housing sector in Sweden uses.
