Abstract [sv]

Volvo Construction Equipment AB (Volvo CE) är en tillverkare av entrepenadmaskiner tillexempel hjullastare och dumprar. Växellådorna som används i fordonen är styrda med hydrauliskt tryck som kontrolleras av tryckreducerande proportional ventiler. Ventilerna som används på Volvo CE har visat problematik vilket har medfört försämrad växlingsprestanda i vissa växellådor.

Nuvarande provmetoder på Volvo CE som används för att utvärdera om ventiler är funktionsdugliga är omständiga och tidskrävande att utföra, vilket har medfört en låg utvärderings frekvens.

I detta projekt utvecklas en kompakt och modulär testrigg avsedd att öka frekvensen av tester av ventilerna vid Volvo CE. Genom att skapa en oberoende och kompakt testrigg förväntas tillgängligheten för provning att öka, vilket möjliggör och främjar frekventa tester av ventilerna.

Genom att implementera moduläritet i konstruktionen av provstationen möjligjörs enkel anpassning av provstationen för att prova olika ventilmodeller eller olika provning under olika omständigheter.

Abstract [en]

Volvo Construction Equipment AB (Volvo CE) is a manufacturer of heavy construction equipment such as wheel loaders and articulated haulers. The gearboxes of the vehicles are controlled by hydraulic pressure using electro-hydraulic pressure reducing proportional valves. The valves used have shown problems causing poor shifting performance in the gearbox.

Current testing methods utilized at Volvo CE to assess the function of the valves have proven to be time consuming and impractical causing the testing frequency to be low.

In this project a compact and modular test rig is developed intended to increase the frequency of testing the valves at Volvo CE. By making a independent and compact test rig the availability of the test setup is expected to increase allowing and promoting frequent testing of the valves.

By incorporating modular design the test rig is adaptable to evaluate the performance of different valve models and under different conditions.
