Abstract [sv]

Hitachi Energy konstruerar och tillverkar högspänningsgenomföringar. Dessa består i huvudsak av ledarrör av metall, isolering och kompressionsmaterial av exempelvis bunden kork. Isoleringen i denna undersökning består av epoxi-impregnerat papper (RIP) som gjuts på genomföringen. Under och/eller efter gjutprocessen kan det uppstå inre mekaniska spänningar i isoleringen, vilka har undersökts i detta projekt. Kommersiella programvaror, för numeriska beräkningar och finita elementmetoden (FEM), har använts för att beräkna spänningarna och hur dessa beter sig i förhållande till genomföringarnas geometri,ledarrörens material, omgivningens temperatur samt val av kompressionsmaterial. En iterativ beräkningsmodell har tagits fram för beräkning av hur kompressionsmaterial påverkar spänningarna. Resultaten visar sammanfattningsvis, ur ett hållfasthetsperspektiv, att ledarrören ska vara av aluminium hellre än koppar och vara så tunna som möjligt. För genomföringar med kompressionsmaterial bör ledarrören ha så liten diameter som möjligt.

Abstract [en]

Hitachi Energy designs and manufactures high voltage bushings. They consist of conductor pipes, insulation and compression material such as different types of cork. The insulators in this study are made of resin impregnated paper (RIP) which is moulded onto the bushings. High mechanical stresses may occur in the insulator during and/or after the casting process, which have been investigated in this project. Commercial softwares, for numerical methods and finite element method (FEM), have been used to calculate stresses and how these behave relative to the geometry of the bushing, pipe material,surrounding temperature and type of compression material. An iterative model has been built to calculate how compression material affects the occuring stresses. In conclusion, the results from a solid mechanics perspective show that the conductor pipes should be made of aluminium rather than copper and be as thin as possible. For bushings with compression material, the conductor pipes should have as small diameter as possible.
