Sorunda has a long view of farmland, between the church and the elementary school there is a slope close to the bus stop and a view of both the church and the beautiful landscape.

A wooden building will be placed on the site, the appearance of the building reflects the old red barns and follows the heights and appearance of the area, but inside there is a more modern feeling.

The level differences come from the fact that the plot slopes and gives different ceiling heights that suit the different functions of the building.

As the building is expected to be on the site for a long time to come, it must also be flexible. It is being built to be able to suit a community college, which would attract more people to the town. But it can also be used as, for example, a nursing home or conference hotel. The flexibility can be seen in the structure with a column system and roofwindows in the middle parts.

There are also parts where the opportunity givs for the residents where they can share both the kitchen, laundry room and living room, and also have their own or shared apartment to use undisturbed. These apartments look out onto the quiet farmland, while the common areas have openings to the courtyard formed by the different parts of the building bodies

I Sorunda sträcker sig en lång vy av odlingsmarker, mellan kyrkan och grundskolan finns en sluttning med närhet till busstation och utsikt över både kyrkan och det vackra landskapet.

På platsen ska en byggnad av trä placeras, byggnadens utseende speglar de gamla röda ladugårdarna samt följer höjder och utseendet i området, men innanför finns en mer modern känsla.

Nivåskillnaderna kommer ifrån att tomten sluttar och ger olika takhöjd som passar byggnadens olika funktioner.

Då byggnaden beräknas kunna finnas på platsen en lång tid framöver skall den även vara flexibel. Den byggs för att kunna uppföra en folkhögskola, som skulle locka fler människor till platsen. Men den kan även användas som tillexempel äldreboende eller konferenshotell. Flexibiliteten kan ses i strukturen med pelarsystem och ljusinsläpp i de mittersta delarna.

Det finns även mer avskilda delar som ges till de boende där de har möjlighet att samnyttja både kök, tvättstuga och vardagsrum, samtidigt som de har en egen eller delad lägenhet att få använda ostörda. Dessa lägenheter vetter ut mot det lugna åkerlandskapet, medan de gemensamma delarna har öppningar till gården som bildas av byggnadskropparnas olika delar.
