At the same place where the old railway warehouse stood, the proposal for a new hybrid building, Godsmagasinet+, is taking shape. With a recycling center for the restoration of old building parts such as windows, doors and sinks together with a general workshop, a makerspace, a studio and much more, the building is both a new meeting place and a sustainable landmark for Nynäshamn. The program would reduce production emissions, increase circularity in construction and generate more local jobs. In addition, the program could support reuse in a larger context by becoming a source of inspiration in the green transition and contributing to an increased cultural value of recycled architecture.

The business is based on a local art and craft tradition in Nynäshamn, where the construction industry is also one of the most common industries.

The site is located in central Nynäshamn between the church, the commuter train station and the ferry terminal. In the design, road 73, the narrow green lane and the ferry traffic have therefore been important aspects that influenced the building's tapered shape. The harbor and its boat culture has also influenced the design of the structure, as both the roof beams and the volume of the building could be compared to a sail or rudder. In addition to the hybrid program, the project has also explored the relationship of the different floors to each other with the cut-off half-plans that almost float around the tall production hall.

På samma plats som det gamla godsmagasinet stod, tar det nya förslaget till en hybridbyggnad, Godsmagasinet+ form. Med ett återbrukscenter för restaurering av gamla byggnadsdelar som exempelvis fönster, dörrar och handfat tillsammans med en allmän verkstad, ett makerspace, en ateljé och mycket mera är byggnaden både en ny mötesplats samt ett hållbart landmärke för Nynäshamn. Verksamheten skulle minska produktionsutsläpp, öka cirkulariteten i byggandet och generera fler lokala jobb. Dessutom kan programmet stötta återbruk i ett större sammanhang genom att bli en inspirationskälla i den gröna omställningen samt bidra till ett ökat kulturvärde av återbrukad arkitektur.

Verksamheten grundar sig i en lokal konst- och hantverkstradition i Nynäshamn där även byggbranschen är en av de vanligaste branscherna.

Tomten är belägen i centrala Nynäshamn mellan kyrkan, pendeltågsstationen och färjeterminalen. I formgivningen har därmed väg 73, det smala grönstråket samt färjetrafiken varit viktiga aspekter som påverkat byggnadens avsmalnande form. Även hamnen och dess båtkultur har påverkat utformningen av strukturen då såväl takbalkarna som byggnadens volym skulle kunna liknas vid ett segel eller roder. Projektet har förutom hybridprogrammet även utforskat de olika våningsplanens relation till varandra med de avskurna halvplanen som nästan svävar omkring den höga produktionshallen.
