Nynäshamn, located five miles south of Stockholm, is known for its industry and closeness to the archipelago. The engineering industry, the oil industry and logisticsstand for a big part of the jobs in the municipality. In order for these industries to reach the climate goals and thereby contribute to a more sustainable municipality, persons with relevant skills and education are needed. At the same time, all leftover materials found in the municipality need to be taken care of. Today, it costs a lot for companies to hand in leftover material to the recycling centre, and a lot of material thus ends up lying on the company's premises. During a inspection of Nynäshamn's education, it became clear that many are looking outside the municipality for both highschool and university studies. By creating a recycling center for primarily industry but also private households and in connection making room for workshops and education opportunities the knowledge gap can increase which contributes to a more sustainable industry.

Nynäshamn som ligger fem mil söder om Stockholm är känd för sin industri och utlopp till skärgården. Verkstadsindustrin, oljeindustrin och logistik utgör en stor del av arbetstillfällena i kommunen. För att dessa verksamheter ska nå klimat målen och därmed bidra till en hållbarare kommun behövs personal med relevant kompetens och utbildning. Samtidigt behöver alla restprodukter som finn i kommunen tas hand om. Idag kostar det mycket för företag att lämna in överblivet material till återvinningscentralen och mycket material blir därmed liggande på företagens tomter. Vid en kartläggning av Nynäshamns utbildning framgick att många söker sig utanför kommunen för både gymnasiala såsom eftergymnasiala studier. Genom att skapa en återvinningscentral för främst industri men även privata hushåll och i anslutning göra plats för verkstad och utbildningsmöjligheter kan kunskapen öka vilket bidrar till en hållbarare industri.
