The project is located in the industrial area north of Nynäshamn, between Kvarnängen sports ground and Nynäshamn High School. This area is already frequented by young people, with the high school within comfortable walking distance and ample opportunities for exercise at the sports ground. The youth already have a routine reason to visit the area, making it natural to offer them a place for social interaction and relaxation in connection with these activities.

Youth centers play a crucial role in today's society by providing meaningful leisure activities and a safe environment where young people can grow and develop. By offering the opportunity to meet adult role models, participate in meaningful activities, and build valuable relationships, youth centers contribute to promoting the well-being and inclusion of young people in society, which in turn creates a more inclusive and sustainable future for all youth.

The project offers young people a versatile place where they can grow and develop. With homework help, study spaces, courses and workshops in various subjects, as well as access to music and art development, their creativity and learning are stimulated. For social interaction and relaxation, there is a lounge, youth kitchen, and TV room. It is a gathering place where young people can discover their potential and create meaningful relationships.

The building offers a versatile and inclusive environment for both young people and adults, with a variety of facilities available.

The building is designed with a strong focus on social sustainability while also considering environmental aspects. With a construction mainly of glued laminated timber and the utilization of natural light, the building reduces its carbon footprint and energy consumption.
