Dementia Village Together is an alternative to traditional care of people with dementia, a dementia village which has been combined with a cultural center. A dementia village is in short a miniature society where people that can no longer live at home, due to their dementia, are given a new home where they can feel as if they were still a part of society but in a secure and smaller setting. The hybridity with the cultural center allows people that would normally not have the chance to meet new people the opportunity to, under supervision, take part in painting or a theatrical piece.

Visitors to the cultural center are given the opportunity to take part in many different activities that sometimes involve the residents, this leads to an increase in understanding of the condition while creating connections between humans. Through shared usage of the premises, in the way that hosting people with dementia requires, a hybridity where both parties can gain is created.

Demensby tillsammans är ett alternativ till traditionell vård av människor med demens, nämligen en demensby som har kombinerats med ett kulturhus. Konceptet demensby är kort ett miniatyrsamhälle där personer som inte längre kan bo hemma, på grund av sin demens, kan flytta in och röra sig som om de fortfarande var ute i samhället fast på en säker och mindre skala. Hybriditeten med kulturbyggnaden innebär att människor som kanske aldrig skulle ha möjlighet att träffa främlingar erbjuds denna möjlighet under uppsyn medan de deltar i till exempel ett målningstillfälle eller en uppvisning av en pjäs.

För besökarna till kulturhuset ges möjlighet att utföra olika aktiviteter men med alternativet att dessa ibland är i samband med de boende, detta bidrar till en ökad förståelse för sjukdomen samtidigt som kopplingar mellan människor kan skapas. Genom delat nyttjande av lokalerna på det sätt som krävs för någon med demens, möjliggörs en hybriditet där båda parterna kan tjäna från varandra.
