Abstract [en]

This project was conducted in order to further develop the FoilCart project, a KTH initiative, thataimed to enhance the monitoring system for an electric hydrofoil boat with the purpose ofevaluating its performance. The focus has been to visualize processed data from a sensor attached tothe electric driveline of a boat in real-time and also store the data for future analyses. Thespecifications are focused on the updating time of the visualization and the accuracy of theprocessed data, which is presented in tables in the results. An application was created by using aMySQL database, python and Node RED, a browser based programming software used to create aninterface. The final system succeeded in producing a real-time visualization with the requiredupdating speed, but not all the requirements were met for the specifications of the accuracy. Lastly,the system was tested with a real boat and was able to visualize the desired parameters.

Detta projekt utfördes med målet att vidareutveckla FoilCart projektet, ett KTH initiativ, vars mål varatt förbättra ett sensorsystem för en elektrisk bärplansbåt i syfte att kunna utvärdera dess prestanda.Projektets fokus har varit att i realtid visualisera bearbetad data mottagen från sensorer kopplade tillbåtens elektriska drivlina. Datan skulle också sparas i en databas för att möjliggöra retroaktiv analys.Specifikationerna för projektet foskuserade på uppdateringshastighet av visualiseringen ochnoggrannheten kring den processade data vilket redovisas i tabeller vid resultatdelen. En applikationskapades med hjälp av en MySQL-databas, Python och Node RED, en webbläsarbaseradprogrammeringsmjukvara som användes för att skapa ett gränssnitt. Det slutliga systemet klarade aven realtidsvisualisering av datan med de önskade uppdateringskraven, däremot lyckades inte allanoggrannhetskrav uppfyllas. Till sist testades systemet på en båt och visualiseringen ansågstillfredsställande.
