This thesis explores the boundaries of architecture, delving into the intersections of architectural design with clothing design. It considers clothing as a potential precursor to architectural design and uses the creation of a garment as a generator for a shelter structure. Influenced by the philosophies of the Bauhaus School and the Arts and Crafts movement, the thesis underscores the importance of tactile engagement and craftsmanship in architecture. The project is done within a defined method consisting of three phases: Phase 1: Generator, phase 2: Interpretation and phase 3: Synthesis. The normally called site in architecture, is in this thesis serving as a backdrop for the method. The place is chosen for being well known to me, the student, and a good example of demonstrating that any place could be used as a starting point for this method.
