Abstract [en]

Future wireless edge networks consist of multiple ISAC devices and various sensing targets. Federated learning (FL) is applicable to edge networks as it can integrate the sensing capabilities of multiple ISAC devices. In this chapter, integrated ISAC and FL is divided into 1) ISAC-aided FL design and 2) FL-enhanced ISAC capacity; basic principles and examples of 1) and 2) are introduced; and challenges and prospects of integrated ISAC and FL are summarized.
