A Queuing Model of a Multi-threaded Architecture: A Case Study

Abstract [en]

We  present  an  evaluation  of  a  coarsely  multithreaded  ar-chitecture (MTA). The architecture is represented as a queuing networkwith finite population of jobs (statistically identical threads). The Marko-vian model is solved by the Matlab environment and the network is simu-lated in GPSS. A modelling technique reported in the paper allows roughperformance prediction in the first stage of top-down system design.
