Moisture damage in wall contructions due to water intrusion (English)
Abstract [en]

Moisture damage in buildings is a serious issue that leads to problematic consequences and high economic costs. Despite the knowledge and awareness existing about moisture problems, extensive damager still occurs today. Studies of moisture in the exterior wall constructions shows that the issue if often caused by rain and water intrusion. These kinds of problem result in major costs usually because the companies have to replace the material and structural components and also in some cases tear down large parts of the buildings.

The work includes moisture theory and descriptions of four different exterior wall constructions, wood stud wall with plastered facade, exterior wall with wood facade, exterior wall with concrete, and exterior wall with brick facade. Our thesis work describes how the constructions are affected and moisture damage due to water intrusion. In this thesis, we are trying to concentrate on how water enters the structure, defects of the constructions, moisture damage, risk zones in the buildings and active to prevent moisture problems.The work also includes mail interviews with people from different companies, who have given us answer to our questions.

Fuktskador i våra byggnader är ett aktuellt problem som leder till problematiska konsekvenser och stora ekonomiska kostnader. Trots den kunskap och medvetenhet som idag finns om fuktproblem sker alltjämt omfattande skador. Vid närmare studier kring fukt i ytterväggskonstruktioner påträffas ofta problem som orsakas av regn och vattenintrång. Denna problematik orsakar kostnader, eftersom man i de flesta fall tvingas sanera, byta material och byggnadsdelar och även i vissa fall riva stora delar av byggnader. Arbetet består av en del fuktteori samt beskrivning av fyra olika ytterväggskonstruktioner, nämligen träregelvägg med putsad fasad, yttervägg med träfasad, yttervägg med betongfasad och yttervägg med tegelfasad och beskriver hur dessa påverkas och fuktskadas på grund av vattenintrång. I vårt examensarbete lägger vi stor tyngd på hur vatten tränger in i konstruktioner, brister i konstruktioner, alternativa fuktskador som uppstår, riskområden samt åtgärder. Arbetet inkluderar även mailintervjuer med personer från olika företag, som har gett oss svar på våra frågeställningar.
