Abstract [en]

NOVELTY - The method involves determining a connection being requested, and a set of connection parameters including path, channel and a physical link parameter e.g. transmit power, by integrated optimization of a single objective function with respect to all of connection parameters. The method then involves establishing the requested connection based on the determined set of connection parameters. USE - Used for communication networks e.g. wireless multihop networks. ADVANTAGE - The method provides an efficient way to utilize available resources in a network and exploits the full potential of the network, while ensuring the quality of service. The method also provides collision-free communication for each individual connection in a given subset of network with reduced computational complexity and power consumption. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (a) a control system for connection set-up in a communication network (b) a method of connection admission control in a communication control (c) a system for controlling connection admission. DESCRIPTION OF DRAWING(S) - The drawing shows a preliminary connection path setup in a wireless multihop network for a specific node pair and channel.
