Abstract [en]

NOVELTY - The method involves selecting relay channels (530:1-530:k) associated with the relay stations (415) having spatial overlap coverage at the mobile station, for establishing communication session between the base station and mobile station. USE - For communication such as multiple input-multiple output (MIMO) communication between base station (claimed) and mobile station in two-hop wireless communication network such as radio access network and cellular network. ADVANTAGE - The MIMO communication between the base station and mobile station is optimized using the relay stations without any increase in excessive control signaling over the air interface. DETAILED DESCRIPTION - INDEPENDENT CLAIMS are also included for the following: (1) system for communication in two-hop wireless network; (2) receiver; and (3) base station.
