Abstract [en]

A dynamic model for second order distortion in semiconductor lasers is presented. The model includes spatial hole burning effects and can be used for fast and accurate calculation of single tone, two tone and composite second order distortion. It is shown that lasers oscillating on the short wavelength side of the Bragg wavelength have considerable higher distortion than lasers oscillating on the long wavelength side.
