Abstract [en]

The objective of the internship project is to analyse the economic, environmental and social impacts of different energy efficiency policyoptions for the products covered under two groups: industrial andlaboratory furnaces and ovens, and machine tools and related machinery.The work will serve as input to the European Commission’s own impactassessment for product measures for the aforementioned productgroups.

The approach is based on the European Commission’s guidelines onImpact Assessments to allow policy makers to make informed decisionsin the light of the best available evidence.
