Evaluating Large Scale Modular Web-based Application Development with GWT MVP

This thesis evaluates the model view presenter pattern that can be used when developing web applications with Google Web Toolkit. It will produce a prototype of a calendar module as a means of testing the patterns practically and will incorporate dependency injection via Google Gin. The prototype will use a dispatcher model with action result handler for communication from client to server. The thesis will also give backgrounds to all the frameworks which will be used and their future stability and level of documentation. This is meant to establish a foundation for building a large modular application entirely in Google Web Toolkit.

Eveluering av storskalig webbaserad utveckling med GWT MVP

Denna avhandling utvärderar model view presenter mönstret som kan användas vid utveckling av webbapplikationer med Google Web Toolkit. Det kommer byggas en prototyp av en kalendermodul för att pröva på mönstret praktiskt och modulen kommer att använda sig av dependency injection via Google Gin. Prototypen kommer att använda sig av action result handlers för att kommunicera från klient- till serverdel. Avhandlingen kommer också att ge bakgrund till alla de verktyg som kommer att användas och deras dokumentationstandard och framtida stabilitet. Detta är tänkt att bidra med en grund för att bygga ett stort modulärt projekt helt i Google Web Toolkit.
