Abstract [en]

Using sensors in vehicles to be able to make the driving experience safer and automate the driving process is something that truck manufacturers has been interested in for years. In this thesis we explore the possibilities to make a framework for sensor fusion where developers develop plugins that gain access to data from multiple sensors. The result of this thesis is a suggestion for how to realize such a framework. We also discuss how to improve the quality of the framework and how to make it more stable.

Abstract [sv]

Att använda sensorer i fordon för att göra körupplevelsen säkrare och automatisera körningsprocessen är något som lastbilstillverkare har varit intresserade av i flera år. I denna rapport utforskar vi möjligheterna att skapa ett ramverk för sensorfusion där utvecklarna skapar insticksmoduler som får tillgång till sensordata från flera sensorer. Resultatet av examensarbetet är ett förslag på hur man skulle kunna göra ett sådant ramverk. Vi föreslår också hur ramverket kan vidareutvecklas och göras mer stabilt.
