Abstract [en]

Some influential voices believe that the 3D effect works best on small, intimate dramas. In such productions, dialogue is one of the most important elements. We analyse if 3D is an appreciated effect in these situations. This report identifies the factors that have the potential to make the 3D-experience different from the 2D and how a focus group feel about the changes, based on these factors. It turns out that 3D can be enhancing if done correctly, but that it is difficult. The possible mistakes are many. In this report we draw conclusions about how these mistakes occur and can be avoided.

Vissa inflytelserika röster hävdar att 3D är som mest kraftfullt när det används i intima scener snarare än actionscener. I sådana sammanhang är dialogen ett av de viktigaste elementen. I den här rapporten undersöker vi om 3D är en uppskattad effekt i dialogscener. För att kunna mäta detta identifierades faktorer som har potential att skilja upplevelsen åt. En fokusgrupp har utifrån dessa faktorer fått beskriva skillnaden av upplevelsen mellan 3D och 2D. Det visade sig att 3D kan vara förhöjande om det görs på rätt sätt, men att det är svårt. Misstagen som går att göra är många. I rapporten drar vi slutsatser om hur dessa misstag uppkommer och kan undvikas.
