Globalization leads to the global expansion by businesses thus creating challenges of unifying
work principles, company cultures and approaches towards customers internationally. These processes lead to the projects and initiatives that have ambitious goals and involve resources. Inevitably, knowledge transfer is one of the key pillars for effective implementation of changes inside the company.
The thesis analyzes the mechanisms and strategies for knowledge transfer in the multi-national company. In order to understand the reasoning of currently applied practice and logics of knowledge transfer, the theoretical concepts are aimed to be verified comparing them to the actual business practice. Literature, journal articles and empirical study are used to assess the implication of concepts for business and identify possible trends of development of knowledge transfer field. Finally, the challenges and opportunities for improvement of knowledge transfer approaches are aimed to be identified.
