Abstract [en]

The article looks at how a community campaign to save the Little Desert National Park in Victoria took the idea of biological diversity to the halls of the Australian parliament. It mentions that Little Desert was proposed to be turned into wheat and sheep farms by former Australian Minister for Lands and Minister for Conservation William McDonald before it became a national park. It notes that the area was declared a national park in 1988.
