Abstract [en]

The purpose of this master thesis was to identify additives used in plastic packaging of polyethylene, polypropylene and polyethylene terephthalate as well as polystyrene and polycarbonate. This resulted in a table with substances, which have been confirmed as additives in the materials. This table also contains information about the health- and environmental risks that are associated with these substances.

An evaluation of the data collected concerning health- and environmental risks that may be associated with the use of the identified additives was done, resulting in a recommendation to ACO Hud Nordic to keep several substances under observation.
