Abstract [en]

Kinetic studies of vinyl acetate synthesis were carried out over Pd/SiO 2 catalysts using a pilot fixed bed reactor. The effects of metallic acetate promoters were measured; such promoters stabilized the catalyst surface. While alkali based acetates had the uttermost impact, there was an increase of primitive effect from the top to bottom of the first column elements of the periodic table implemented in promoters. This is an abstract of a paper presented at the 7th European Congress of Chemical Engineering-7 and 19th International Congress of Chemical and Process Engineering CHISA (Prague, Czech Republic 8/28/2010-9/1/2010).
