Abstract [en]

The aim of the study was to synthesize polyesters based on saturated and unsaturated dicarboxylic acids, where polyester based XXXXX the main monomer to study.

The aim was to study the hydrolytic stability of the synthesized polyesters at different pH (unadjusted pH, pH~7 and pH~9) and at different temperature (RT, 50 ÂșC).

The purpose was to answer the following questions:

  • Is it possible to use XXXXX dicarboxylic acid in synthesis of polyesters?
  • Are polyesters based on XXXXX more sensitive towards hydrolysis than polyesters based on other diacids?

Do pH and temperature affect the hydrolysis of the polyesters?
