Abstract [en]

This master thesis aims to develop a fast and accurate approach to the problem of the quicksizing of shell structures during early design stages. In order to achieve the mentionedpurpose a tool able to compute the main stresses and main failure modes present in shellstructures has been created and coupled with an optimization routine in order to aim forthe minimum weight conguration from the early design stage
