Widely tunable and broadband optical parametric amplification in periodically poled KTiOPO4

Widely tunable infrared continuum-seeded optical parametric amplification employing periodically poled KTiOPO4 is demonstrated. Collinear and noncollinear amplification is investigated with the aim to substantially broaden the signal's bandwidth.
