Abstract [sv]

I större flerspråkiga applikationer som vidareutvecklas kontinuerligt under lång tid är det en utmaning att säkerställa att terminologin hålls komplett och konsekvent på alla språk. Genom att i två avseenden frångå gängse metodik, och dels låta terminologin i användargränssnitt påverkas av bakomliggande programlogik och dels bygga kompletta fraser av delfraser som kan återanvändas kan man minska risken för inkonsekventa ordval och reducera antalet ord och fraser som behöver översättas betydligt.

Abstract [en]

Ensuring that terminology is kept complete and consistent can be challenging when working with large applications that run in multiple languages, especially if they are developed continuously during their life cycle. This can be simplified by deviating from common practice in two respects; by letting the user interface terminology be affected by back-end logic, and by building phrases from common partial phrases that are reused. The total amount of words and phrases that need to be translated is also significantly reduced with the outlined practice.
